Have you tried turning the bolt to break it loose? I know it's not threaded in.
i don't see signs of your pounding on it.
I would cut it off flush with the square tubing and use a punch to drive it out preferably from the threaded end if you can turn the tube, if not you may have to cut on both sides to make exit room.
