I don't know anything about these slide systems
But I do know cnc machine tools
The shear pins used in turrets and drive screws
Are aluminum, the main diameter is a light force press fit. That goes in place and stays there , but it has a much thinner diameter at the transition point between shafts, turret halves etc..
So if a binding, ( aka stoppage crash ) occurs, the pin shears in two
And had to be replaced before the machine can be placed back in operation
I have never seen a steel bolt shear cleanly in two, in a shaft drive operation in situation where there is no play, even with play, with a steel pin/bolt than has not been milled it requires special tempering to create the spot that will shear
As far as removal, it has all been covered
Remove as much stress as possible, if it won't come out, turn it where you can cut it and drill it, then punch it
