How to tell if A/C is 13.5k or 15k?

orfun...in an emergency due to my onan developing a gas leak...I used a bud's spare Honda 2000 inverter to run my 15k dometic...I had to shut everything off but the AC....but it got us through in a pinch.

A Honda 3000 inverter will run a 15k without a problem...I've done it often

On the carrier Air V if you remove the inside cover and LOOK UP you will find the ID label on the rooftop unit.. Your answer lies upon it.

Many other models are like this as well.

If AZ is like TX, get a very good high-efficiency 15,000 BTU A/C with a hard-start cap so it doesn't hit the generator as hard. I think you can get a 25 gallon gasoline tank and a 4000 watt gasoline Onan for that brand of trailer. I'd do that, as the Onan can easily handle the locked rotor camps of a 15K BTU A/C and then some.

2. The COPPER lines on a 15k are larger than a 13.5k.
last, why would the dealer be unsure??????? All he has to do is get the model number and that will tell him. Doug
Last a general rule on Dometic is the LAST number on the 6 digit model number. 15 means a 13.5k 16 means a 15k 12 means a 11k
