How to Work Hydro-Flame BRC10 Controls? Update #2

Yes the other gas appliances work ok. Which way do you turn the red knob to "On" from "Pilot" -clockwise? I can't tell when it is on or off or at pilot. I can turn it to the stops either way but don't know if that is to all the way on or all the way off.
