There are a couple places the 5er is too big for, but mostly for the way BC Ferries prices for extra length. Also could leave the 5er in the seasonal spot and take the TC somewhere if more convenient.
If you go to the mainland you get killed for length with a trailer but not for height. (used to be height too but they changed that) Just can't afford to take the 5er to the mainland anymore! The TC only sticks out a few feet to make the truck longer.
It is a fun project too. Of course now I wish I had kept the 130w panel I sold last summer. I can swap the 230w back and forth if necessary.
