HWH Fuse holder melted - wire gets hot when storing jacks

Most of those in-line blade fuse holders are only rated for 20-30 amps (Some less) so you are really working it. As you did, cleaning it up and tightening is the "Fix" but you may wish to consider changing to a different type of fuse holder.. One with a higher rating, and sorry. I do not have any suggestions. Other than possibly a Maxi Fuse holder. Do not know the ratings on those.
