Hydroflame incosistant

Sometimes it goes, sometimes it wont, took it apart to check it out, everything is clean, wiggled all electrical connections, but that didnt change a thing, still not consistant in working. Gas is good, Electrical is good, really stumped.

I bought this trailer last year, furnace wouldnt light, so the previous owner took it in and got it fixed (they put a new board on it) and said it was good to go, tested it, it worked, bought it, never used it until now...

Its a 94 prowler
Thoughts?

  • Apologies- it looks like you may have the pin type connector rather than the edge type connector, though you still need to measure the voltage out to the valve, as well as the supply voltages on the board itself, rather than wires out of the board.
  • Maybe Im not understanding, what is an edge connector? I have 12v going in, 7v coming out of the board for the solenoids
  • Check the edge connector that connects to the board- I have had the contacts crack and make a bad connection. That is not at all a common failure.
  • Ok, uploading a video, have a couple things, but mainly the solenoids do not open all the time, sail switch is looking great, great spark, etc etc etc.. When I jump 12v to the solenoids it will light immediately! And will keep running, power coming out of the board to the solenoids is only 7V, the board isn't even a year old and cost the previous owner a couple hundred bucks..

SO, new board looks to be the key then?

    Itll be live eventually here

    YOUTUBE video of it going
  • fan runs, you can hear the ignitor clicking away, for 3 cycles, then itll shut down if it doesnt light and flash the 3 light code.
