I want valuable advice

OK here goes. If you want a true balance use balance beads in the tires. This will balance the entire rotating assembly going down the road.

Now the tires. Going against everything I have heard my recent purchase was a set of ld range E Commodores. Chinese. I put almost 5K miles on them this summer in the heat. No issues. Oddly enough they are rated for 3520# and 78 mph. They may take the side off my trailer next trip but so far so good.

Best tires I ever used were GY G614. First failure was @ 8 yrs old.

Maxxis

1) Most trailer hubs are NOT balanced. Look and see if you can find any weights welded on anywhere.

2) Even if the hubs happen to be balanced, if the trailer doesn't have shocks (most don't) the oscillations from the undamped short, stiff springs cause vastly more vibration and bounce than any out of balance tire/wheel/hub assembly would cause.

3) Feel free to balance if you like, but in the total world of all trailers, the vast majority don't have balanced tires and suffer no ill consequences from it.

16" Bridgestone Duravis. Yes I balance.

There isn't a good tire in the 15" size, finally upgraded to 16" with LT tires on my last 5er before I finally sold it. I had 11 Maxxis 15" E rated failures during 80,000 miles of towing. Changed over to 16" and no more problems during the next 30,000 miles of towing. I just had my first failure on my car trailer with 14" Maxxis so replaced with Kumho Radial 857 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Kumho&tireModel=Radial+857 with the Q speed rating. Thought was if the tire is rated for high speed vs the ST of the Maxxis it should be a better tire. Good luck, most trailer tires are junk. Even our local tire dealer will no longer sale trailer tires. Also our local Costco will not honor the warranty. They will sale them but tell you upfront if you have a failure you have to deal with the manufacture directly.

Most hubs are balanced, and if they aren't, the little bit they are is massed so close to the center it would never be noticed anyway. Large hubcaps can cause problems same as the tire and wheel, because the mass is far out from center. And as often as I have run into tires that are out of ordinary, out of balance, yes, don't cheap out on the balance !!

In a ST tire I only use Maxxis and have had very good service from them. last set lasted 6 years. I balance all tires.

oem DURO bias ply, bad
replacement Denman Express even with good reviews here did not last four years.
Now have Maxxis. I would also trust the newest Marathon if they had the size I wanted.
