There are two sides of story to un-vented heaters because there are two groups of people - those who had a CO poisoning and those who didn't. I had it at work and don't want to increase my chances of getting it again. There is no treatment known to science, mild cases are "supposed" to recover on their own in a matter of weeks. Worksafe usually refuses to pay for CO cases because unless you blacked out and was taken to hospital and blood test done immediately, the symptoms are indistinguishable from heart and circulation problems, common migraines and a whole bunch of other things. I suspect there is a number of people out there who had CO poisoning at some time in their life, but were not diagnosed so they think that this was something else.
