I'm fine even if a system does not fully replenish what I use in a day. The ability to stretch my battery life from 4-5 days to a week would be nice.
It wouldn't be a good a good idea to let the charge go lower and lower every day for entire week, until it's down to 50% by the day 7.
The longer you let the battery stay like this, the shorter becomes its life. If you're camping for more than a day or two, it is desirable to be able to bring it to Full on most days.
Ideal but not practical. You can't get to 100 while off grid on gen/charger as when in the woods or overcast skies for a week or two where solar doesn't work.
In that case you just do 50-90s or whatever and try to get by till you get shore power again, such as back at home. Now you must do the "recovery" to 100 and get the baseline SGs back where they belong, using equalizing, whatever it takes.
The batts will still last long enough for you to get your money's worth and you get to go camping the way you want. Batteries are cheap compared with a lot of RVing stuff. They work for you not you work for them so you give up camping the way you want just to save a little battery life.
