Absolutely. Because everybody is planning their solar to fit their particular scenario. Sometimes they are not planning, and then it works too - or it doesn't.
There are situations where roof-mounted 4*100w is better than 2*200w, though I don't believe this is common. 4*100 on the roof will still work for the OP, and so will 2*100 on the roof plus 2*100 on the ground. With a gas lantern and non-powered Buddy heater even a zero solar would work, with or without a generator. 2*100 portable is better than zero solar, obviously.
