For me, I dislike moving batteries around. There is nothing heavier I can think of in my rig that would be movable. IIRC, the batteries even out weigh the wheels.
A group 27 or even a 31 would be a MAJOR help. Make sure it is a TRUE deep cycle, not a 'marine' or combination battery. A 31 is slightly larger than a 24, but I've found it to fit (tightly) in most battery boxes. If not, the 27 should fit.
Group 31 is 30%-50% more capacity than Group 24. Golf cart batteries are even more.
