I repeat. Efficiency and losses going from one way to another don't matter a tinker's dam. (spelt right BTW) You are camping and just want to keep going with the least inconvenience.
We are not in an energy saving contest here- we are camping! (RVing actually, which is even "worse" for energy usage)--but who the heck cares? Have a good time. Splurge on those AHs. Nobody will thank you for using fewer AHs.
You are not on a downed- pilot survival course eating bugs and making fire by rubbing two sticks together. You have a nice RV, so use it to the max!
Some people seem to feel guilty if they splurge a little. They wear black clothes, no dancing, no rock and roll music, no generators.
Ignore those people unless you like sack cloth and ashes for a hobby. :(
