Go with something like a Thunder Gun or upgrade to a 3/4" drive gun, extension and socket. Glue the parts that attach to the gun with this stuff...

Save your breath about loss of tool heat treatment when welded. I've done this with wrench steel from Indian to Snap-On and still have the often abused modified parts. Allstate 275 is from a different universe. One of the best impossible-fix remedies on the planet.
