That is a POL valve with built in relief.
The bonnet assembly was defective and most have probably been destroyed.
Finding one still intact with old bonnet (vs replacement).....
Tough part it was used on cylinders and can't think of a place/business that would have kept them when changed out starting back in 1998
Correction on that date code.....D8
Alphabetic letter and Single Digit was used up until 1976 so D8 would be Aug 1968 (or 1958)
After 1976 double digit numerical was used.
