Went to the link you posted. Excellent information. My take from this is that it's not an issue of added insulation, but to baffle in the sides and top of the compartment for better air flow.
Sounds like pulling the fridge and rebuilding the compartment is the next step. Also interesting that the link states that an exhaust fan vs. blowing across the fins is a better solution.
