Pretty much right, then energy savings are not vast, and I already have a solar surplus most days, and grid power available most of the time anyway so all my efforts could be considered moot in this regard.
Reduction in fan noise was the primary objective, but ensuring best efficiency is also high on the list. I also figure the less the compressor has to run, the longer it will last.
The interior fan's effects on evening out box temps and also lowering them was expected from my previous fridge, but not to the extent that it has on this one.
While I can monitor current consumption over time with what I have now, I am not willing to remove all the variables to make any tests scientifically valid. Nor am I willing to return the fridge to how it came out of the box, just for testing before and after modifications, even if somebody were to give me an amp counter to hook only onto the fridge circuit. I am most certainly not willing to rewire my shunt so only the fridge circuit is monitored.
My timing of duty cycles at certain ambient vs internal box temps since aquisition is going to have to suffice, and estimation is never publishable and not my intent anyway. Besides, I am just some guy making claims on the internet. Take my estimated results or leave them.
I think the nation as a whole has little idea how much electricity their lifestyles require.
RV'ers should be more aware, and that it is easier to conserve than create, but often it comes down to having enough to not concern oneself with waste or inefficiency.
That's just not the way I can roll. Wastefulness bothers me and plays a big part in my misanthropic tendencies.
