Now, several years ago, someone I knew, got his electricity from this source.
He owned quite a bit of property where the power line easement crossed.
He had a fence, I think to keep cattle in, part of it.
I don't remember all the details but he strung a wire or wires along this and there ws quite enough electicity to fill his needs. The Utility took him to court but the Judge dismissed it. I've seen Christmas lights strung, out in the woods with a small wire from near base of tower to tower providing the power, thirty years or so past.
There is a lot of energy from those high voltage lines with just the air insulating them.
