info please

hello all we just spent 9 days in our 5er and found out all our lights are 12 volt our travel trail had both 12 and 120 we do have a solar panel we never had any go out or anything would it be hard to put in a 120 or 2
  • Nope....it would be very easy. But they wouldn't burn very bright :). Seriously, if you camp in RV parks, you could always run a separate extension cord to the hookup box and then hook some 120V bulbs to it. But not sure why you'd want to. I'm sure there are other more expensive ways to accomplish what you want but the extension cord is the cheap way.
  • Well you need a spare slot in AC Distribution panel for a new circuit breaker
Then you have to pull wire from dist. panel to location of new 120V light fixtures
Then mount new light fixtures and wire them up.

Why worry about having 120V Lights......you have 12V DC lighting and your solar panel can charge battery.......plus converter/charger will maintain battery when hooked up to 120V power.

Really want 120 Lights........buy a lamp and plug it into an outlet---they are 120V AC

  • Just plug the lamp in the wall outlet. Otherwise you will be pulling wire.
