Your statement is not correct. I did test it and the test failed. But I made progress. The attempt is toward a manual MPPT controller where the person can actively seek the max power point. I have a watt meter in series which provides active feedback to the human, who is doing the tracking, the "T" in "MPPT". My PID loop is organic, not electronic.
If I can get one that works manually, the next step is to close the loop electronically. Interstingly it Does track .5 volts closer to MPPT than my PWM controller under many conditions.
