Right on---------------I have two in my RV, one to charge phones and one close to the batteries to check voltage.
I wouldn't run an inverter on one unless it was an emergency.

sm, do you have a link to such a transfer switch?

The tv in out TT had a "brick" power supply that had a 12V output. I made a power plug to tv connector ("M" connector IIRR) cable and run the tv off of 12v now.

The lamp circuit might work marginally and I think you would be better served with a more direct connection to the battery. For 150w you can also connect close to the 12v fuse panel and connect to the single 120v circuit with a $59 transfer switch. Very convenient and no pulling wire.

I considered cutting the plug off and hard wiring for that reason, but was thinking with that small of an inverter, it would not be an issue. Maybe I was wrong. Seems like most of these small 100-130 watt inverters have the cigarette plug.

I'd tend to use 3 or 4 feet and then plug the shore power cord into the inverter. Turn off the converter and set the fridge to gas.

A 300 watt inverter at ten feet running flat out would love to have #8 wire.

Instead of messing around with an inverter and the problems you will have with that, buy a TV set that will run on 12 Volts. Most of these only draw 2 or 3 Amps which is much less than an inverter will draw.

There are a lot of them on the market; they come with a detachable "wall-wart" power supply which you can use when you have shore power.

Can't do that; I already have 2 new TVs that came with the trailer. Gonna go with a PSW inverter in the 100-130 watt range.
