Cadet heaters were recalled some time ago. In all my 30 years in commercial and residential property management, I never had a fire from a Cadet heater. As I recall....quite a few were recalled some time ago and replaced. Cadets are still being installed in new construction. What would be an adequate replacement?
Cadet was responsible for burning down numerous homes and apartments, just because none of them were yours is irrelevant.
Matter of fact, a friend was renting an apartment that had a small fire because of one. Fortunately is was confined and didn't spread much after tripping a main breaker.
They were recalled twice from what I remember. If you feel safe with them that's fine but I could never sleep at night knowing such a dangerous item was running in my RV with my family sleeping.
