Anyone ever installed a Fantastic Vent Fan in a vertical wall? We built a mountain-top off-grid backwoods cabin and I'm considering installing a Fantastic Fan in it. I really don't want to install it on the roof because we get a lot of falling objects up there, big acorns, tree limbs, etc and I don't really want to cut a hole in the roof.I've Googled around about it and found mostly info saying its OK for the simpler 3-spd fans with a t-stat. I was just wondering if anyone here has been down this road.Our 1996 truck camper came with a Fantastic Vent Fan and it has worked great for almost 20 years.Thanks for any help,Brad

Call fantastic fan customer service and ask them.

You have one issue to address.How well or unwell do these product models tolerate thrust?The Endless Breeze on the other hand operates laterally. I myself, would pay consideration to this model either in its entirety or fan/motor configuration.

There is no problem mounting on the wall (VENT LID OPENING UPWARD:B). But, I would install a MAXAIR cover over the fantastic Fan to prevent animals and bugs from trying to get into the lid and motor. Doug

Since these are all designed to operate in the rv roof anyway, thrust would be no problem whatsoever in a vertical wall mounting (motor horizontal).

Off topic a bit, but we carry the Endless Breeze portable model in our RV all the time. I made a 12V extension cord for it. This extension cord allows us to: Set it up outside blowing on us in our lounge chairs to keep us cool on warm windless days while we enjoy nature and relax with a drink, or, set it up outside blowing across a picnic table to keep the flies/bugs off our food while eating.

Those Fantastic products are well engineered and fantastic!

Thank you for the images of winter. When everything is green 365 it sure is different. Santa, in shorts and shades. Nice install! My 3rd endless breeze will arrive after New Years.

If power has to be closely watched, I'd suggest to use a larger computer fan. They sip current.

If it was me, I'd also want a self-closing shutter so that outside stuff stays outside when the fan is not in use.

You are absolutely correct. I plead guilty by insanity. The aromas coming out of the kitchen here at the store were driving me to psychotic distraction. Pozole, barbecued beef for tacos and Esmereldas's world class churros.

Groaning with total overload of the abdomen I promise, I'm better now. Here comes a mug of steaming Chiapas coffee, roasted two hours ago, and just ground.

How is a person supposed to keep focused when the thermometer says 86F?

I thought about adding a cover similar to the MAXAIR cover.
