One year ago, because of a tire blowout, I replaced the BT in my Rexall MH.I tried to have it plastic welded,(very common as I understand) but the welder said it was fractured too badly for him to warranty it. The same dealer ordered me a new one.($400 w/ ship) It came from the very same place and mold that the original tank was made in in 2001.
It came w/ the sensors, and the 3" drain molded onto the tank, but I had to cut the other 2 holes for the turlet and the vent pipe.
At 70 yrs old, it was a real challenge at best, but I had to replace all the drain plumbing for both tanks, plus the large fiberglas box ($300) that contained it all, plus other structural steel bracing, etc etc, total estimate was $6800.
W/o any other damage, how hard can it be. Each installation is different I'm sure. If you ordered a tank, chances are it would come from where the original place like mine did. But if it is just a straight rectangle tank. maybe order it custom made to save some money. Or just get an estimate to have it replaced at any reputable RV dealer if you don't have a lot of the needed tools and equipment that mite be needed. If there is even a doubt in your mind if you can do the job, then you probably shouldn't ??
