We installed the Samsung RF18. Got it at Lowes. With a sale and military discount, was able to get it for a little over 1K, delivered. It is counter depth and short enough to fit above the furnace return. Had to move a light for the door to open.
We do not boondock. We only spend a couple nights, while traveling to family, off grid.
Screwed a metal plate in behind the pop out vent, on the outside. Use simple Reflectix between the vent cover and metal plate so we can use it down to the hi 20s at night and warmer during the day.
