Questions, is there a small fan with thermostat that operates off 115volt to reduce heat from the frig? Why cover the outside vent, seems if it is left open it would aid in the cooling process. Rather than close the top vent why not leave it open for cooling?
Thanks!
I closed the side vent as I camp in very cold weather and the air coming in would freeze the ice maker line running up the back of the fridge. I left the roof vent unaltered and it still serves as an exit for any excess hot air. If I seal that up, the hot air will be circulated back into the RV and I have a hard enough time keeping it cool in the Summer that I don't need anything extra trying to keep me from staying cool.
