I will slide this in here, just in case it means something.
I note that with my 60 cell panel tilted up sideways facing the sun, the panel temperature is lower near the bottom and higher near the top. We know that cell voltage is lower with higher temps.
So---it looks like the 60 cells in series are at all different voltages depending on where they are, higher or lower when tilted in the one panel.
I suspect, but have not run a test (yet :) ), that the Voc, taken with the rectangular panel disconnected at its pigtails, will be higher with the panel tilted up sideways rather than the long ways up since there is less distance "up" that way.
