They still make this type- like this one on Amazon. This one uses a fairly large hole in the wall (8" ! ), but if you Google "direct vent propane heater", you'll find a bunch. That Amazon one does say "Approved for use in mobile or modular homes."- don't remember the particular code section for RVs, but I doubt it is approved, fwiw.
