I go through this with the on board water. I have well water at home that I fill the camper with and although it's good well water I'll get the "garden hose" taste in the camper. In the past I've used baking soda mixed with the water and let that sit in the lines a while then flush. That does the trick but the drawback is my well water won't disolve all the baking soda so I end up with some in my tank that clogs my drain when I drain the tank. I've tried store bought water treatments and none work as well as the baking soda but they also don't clog the drain line.
