I know you need to fix the leak but as a temporary fix try replenishing the air cushion in your water heater. Over time the air cushion can be lost and it is needed to keep water pressure from exceeding limits when heated. To do this either drain and refill the water heater or disconnect the water hose, drain the water, and reconnect it. Then turn on a hot water tap inside the RV. This will inject air into the water heater.
