Indeed, part of the advantage of the Lifeline is it's ability to take a whopping amount of charge amperage when it first starts off. And a 50% increase is not insignificant.
When I manage to get through this medical I intend to conduct an experiment.

Discharge both to 12.00 volts
Recharge Lifeline to .5% amp hours using 14.4 volts
Recharge the JC flooded battery using 14.8 volts constant voltage
And see who wins the toss. No question as to initial charge acceptance.
Many questions as to the number of minutes needed to achieve of half of one percent amp hour current in the Lifeline, at a constant voltage.
What effect does raising finish voltage have on amperage between 5% and .5% fill? (95% - 100% filled)
