It does. I guess my real question is: will replacing the 30-year-old GFCI outlet cause the buzz to stop? If so, I'll do it. If not, I'll just hit TEST to cut the power to it when I'm using the inverter.
EDIT: A quick google search answered the question. A new GFCI outlet will not buzz. Older ones buzz with MSW inverters. Or that's what the Internet says. I'm going to try it and will report back.
