So in this alleged side by side side test was the Honda twice as good? Cause it costs at least twice as much. Or maybe it was only 10 percent better? But you didn't provide the side by side test so who can know.
Added on edit: Here's a sample side-by-side Honda vs. Champion test: Review CPE Generator 2000 watt inverter VS Honda EU2000i , found by searching for "honda champion comparison" on youtube. All this shows is that if the priority is starting a motor, the Honda appears to be better. If the priority is something else, like bang for the buck, the Honda will have a hard time coming out on top.
