Inverter Generator... what would you buy?
I need a small inverter generator just to charge one deep-cycle battery with. Which one would you buy, and why?

buy the black n decker 40 amp charger
it will take Six hrs for your 6 amp charger to put out what the b n d will do in one hr
battery charge rate aka amps into the battery change with time
2 hrs of generator 'gas' with the b n d , will be more charge than 6 hrs of 'gas' and time with your 6amp charger
any 2000w inverter generator should do the job
IMO 1000w is cutting it too close with no 'expansion room'
you did not mention the 'Altitude' the cabin is at
power output capability is derated every 1000 ft
3000 fft means a loss of 10% or more
5000ft 20% power loss
