If an older Honda 2000 ran your AC, you have a "Fair chance"a new one will. But not a guarantee.
You were likely on the edge, and happened to be lucky in the match up, also you may have only attempted use at lower altitudes where it was easier.
You can try again, and hope it all works out , or you could get some extra insurance. All the brands are now pushing an additional couple hundred watts on some variation of their models. Chances are in your case, that couple hundred watts would be a nice little cushion, or it could be just enough to get you by in a few situations.
