How do you intend to power the outlets from the extension cord? Not with a suicide cord connection I hope.

If you mean to run things from the end of the extension cord that has its own outlets by adding a power bar to plug the TV etc into, then the only problem is to get that end of the extension cord inside the rig without leaving a door or window open so all the mosquitoes can get in.

To be able to keep the doors and windows closed against bugs, the shore power cord itself allows that by plugging it into the inverter outside (turn off the converter, fridge, WH on gas)

Perhaps you mean add an extension to the shore power cord which it is not long enough? Yes.

Yes, that will work fine. I've powered a 32" screen, a 120V stereo, and DVD player exactly like you've planned. My distances were shorter but there isn't much voltage drop even at 40' for the voltage and amperage required.

Based on SMKETTNER's comment I will remove my extension cord install comments of running thru wire-mode products.

For temporary use where you unplug periodically yes.
To use extension cord pulled through blind areas etc as permanent install is not really up to code.

Thanks all! Power Strip is correct! This will be strictly for the TV,DVD,satellite. It will be when we are boondocking, no shore power. None of the 5er outlets will be connected to the inverter. The inverter has two ac outlets so I will likely add an outlet in the bedroom for same. However the electrical run will be less than 15 feet.
