Mena it is a simple thing to test, and it would be very interesting what the draw would be on a different converter.
Just go shore power cable into inverter and open your battery disconnect switch, so there is no 12v in the rig and converter is not on battery. Run the converter (should run on the 300w inverter---soon find out! ) Measure the amps on the Victron . The whole thing here is without the loop, the converter will not power up in amps trying to recharge the batteries, so VA input draw should be low.
To save you trouble, I have already invented your remote set-up. Put it all in one stall of your horse trailer, and put a treadmill in the other stall. The horse there (carrot hanging out in front of his head) on the treadmill will power the charger---you don't even need solar!
