Inverter question
Is it possible to connect an existing AC outlets in the RV to both line power and an inverter? Inverters I have looked at seem to have integral AC receptacles but no "hard wire" AC connections...

You need an inverter with a transfer switch built into it to do it safely. Not likely in a cheap inverter but you will find it in the Magnum and Xantrex inverter lines and others. Be careful doing what others have suggested as sooner or later you will forget to turn breakers off and will have major issues to say the least.
