Anyhow, I don't know where all you camp and/or hook up at other sites, but think you'd best get a little tester that checks connection voltage and polarity. This Little Guy on Amazon should be able to do that for you. The way the two little read lights light or don't light tells you the polarity status of the outlet whose voltage appears in the display.
I still prefer my "Macgyver" solution, backed up by a Progressive Industries EMS-HW30C, of course.
