LL didn't you say you have 12.7v at the inverter wires ?
the inverter wires come from the battery
IF the fuse was blown, there would not be any voltage on the inverter wires
i suggest you disconnect the batteries main grd or main hot
before you connect the new inverter
otherwise your going to get a big spark, because of the capacitors in the unit,
the surprise might cause you to jerk and short something out
better to get the spark at the battery post
provided you have the area opened up, no hydrogen gas build up
should be NO problem since you have not been charging them, recently
