the Freedom-10 with NO remote has an idle of approx 90ma
with remote about 180ma
thats less than the tripplite inverter i'm using now
the freedom-10 is not a xantrex inverter
it was mfg when the company was still "Heart Interface" before it was bought out
the freedom Combi is possibly the last design of the old 'Heart' company
the 458 is a copy of the Combi, just about everything since then is a more recent design by different engineers and mfg over seas
xantrex is not 'Heart' basically they bought the company then changed everything
to my knowledge IF i have it right
the Heart engineers then left and founded 'Magnum'
Mexico wanderer, knows this better than i do, he knows/knew some of these guys personally
