This thing is really built differently. The manual says that the battery cables are 6 feet long, so I guess that either the original or the new one had its cables changed. I noticed in the manual that the battery voltage is switched to make the MSW, then stepped up for the AC output. I wonder if that's because the higher voltage transistors weren't around when the freedoms were designed?
