Invertor size for a refrigerator
I have a refrigerator rated at 6.5 amps max. Would a 1000 watt pure sine inverter be sufficient? Nothing else would be on the circuit.

6.5 amps at 120 is roughly 800 watts max running. compressors are generally 2.5 to 3x starting surge so around 2000 watts.
So if the inverter is a 1000w contineous duty with 2000w surge it should but on the edge. If that is a typical cheaper brand inverter that is 1000w surge and 500w contineous then nope.
Look at the actual ratings on the spec sheet not the box label/title. Also need to look to see if the individual outlets are rated at full capacity or if each provides half (also typical of no name brands)
