In general, are the Onans quieter or louder?
Since mine is a semi-permanent install on a carrier rack, it seems worth considering.
Also, can you folks suggest ways to reduce vibration when operating on a rack? I figure a rubber mat. But is there some sort of dampening device I can put on the hitch receiver?
Search on the web for ideas about making an enclosure for the Honda. For mounting, Sorbothane pads are about as good as it gets unless you want to fabricate an isolated base. You are going to experience some noise and vibration from the generator if attached to a carrier rack when operating. Maybe you could incorporate a lift to lower the Honda to the ground?
