Sounds like typical Onan problem caused by not using it on a regular basis - carb gets gummed up. Lots of posts on that subject - suggest you use the forum search feature using the terms Onan and Seafoam. In the future I would suggest you run your generator once a month for about two hours (hook up an electric heater to put a load on it - or maybe air conditioner if it's too hot).
