Ditto. See below, HF 6 ton stands under the rear axle, HF 3 ton stands under the front frame. Sat like this for about 5 weeks while I did the brake and fuel line replacement.
Life is too short to risk it on cinder blocks...bite the bullet and get the right tool, in this case, jack stands.
THAT is a very sketchy at best in the PHOTO you have there, I would rather use cement blocks with a 2x8 on the top of the block than to extend a jack stand that far.
You have those jack stands way too high for the actual "footprint" of the jackstand. A cement block actually has MUCH larger "footprint" which is more stable.
If you need that much height I would recommend placing a 2x12 or 2 of them UNDER the jackstand, this allows you to reduce the height that the stand is extended, lowering the center of gravity above the stands. Otherwise I would suggest welding a piece of steel to the feet which is twice the size of the jackstand footprint for more stability.
Additionally I never rely on ONE system, as a backup I also place the tire UNDER the vehicle frame. If your jackstand fails, moves or falls the vehicle will fall on the TIRE which gives you some protection from being fully crushed. You can replace tires and rims but you can't replace your life.
