Jacking Front of Fifth Wheel

I need to jack up the front of my fiver slightly and need to know if the support structure between the two front jacks will support the weight if I spread the load with a 4X4? Thanks for your help!

  • Jack under frame next to landing gear......that is where the weight of 5vr is designed to be lifted.

The front cross member is just a side to side support to provide a finished frame for installation of forward compartment/front panel.

It is NOT a lifting area.
  • Just use the landing gear. With wood blocks below if needed.

Or two jacks if it is the LG you need to work on. + jack stands
    .
  • Perhaps use the truck bed as a base with some blocks so the jack can reach the king pin? The truck will sag at first, but if the jack then still has enough travel, it should work.
  • I would use two jacks and place then under the frame near the front legs. Afraid the cross member between the legs would not support the weight.
