Yes, this is what I thought. You don't touch the bottom 10-15%, and you don't pump it up beyond 90%. In cars protection systems won't let you. In standalone 12V boxes the BMS is less restrictive.
Must be metal plates guarding the cells, they add weight. Don't see any 100AH under 28 lbs. Germans somehow made trolling motor battery 925WH @29V, 16 lbs. This translates into 75 AH @12V.
Valhalla - 30 lbs is obviously not 5 times less than 60 lbs, that's why I noted 1.5 higher usable capacity of Li. Still doesn't add to more than 3* capacity per weight.
