Ditto the solar, probably the best maintain for batteries if the controller is temperature compensated... If not... I would forget the ideal.. A tech forum issue..
If removed and stored you still need to have some sort of proper charger on them which is another whole bag of opinions and thoughts... More aligned to the tech forum in my opinion.
Move deep cycle batteries in house they still need some exercise... Stir that electrolyte and other things... I would recommend just leaving them in the camper and leaving shore power hooked up if possible.. Solar is great for maintenance too, probably the best solution.
