After making a modification to make it easier to remove and install batteries to check water, etc, I decided to leave them in the plugged in RV. I used an old trouble light with a 100 W bulb inside the battery compartment. I'm hoping this will keep things nice and toasty all winter. Another ironic factor is I'm planning on replacing my 12 volt pair in series with two six volt golf cart batteries wired parallel, in the spring.
